Pete is interested in leadership and personal development, including the role conflict plays in organisations and society. He is passionate about supporting leaders to deliver change in organisations, and maximise potential.

Pete is a consultant, facilitator, and coach with an international background in leadership and organisational development and is an expert in the field of Embodied Leadership, on which he has written a book and completed a PhD. He is interested in leadership and personal development, including conflict’s role in organisations and society. Pete is a coach for senior clients across the public and private sectors in his coaching work.

Pete is also a tutor on the Roffey Park MSc in People and Organisational Development and Post-Graduate Certificate in Coaching and is a teacher on Strozzi Institute’s Embodied Leadership programmes.

Pete works across action learning, self-managed learning, somatics, conflict resolution, and leadership development. He has also led T-group style processes, which are content-less, addressing only their dynamics and group process over 5-days. He varies his facilitation style to the needs of the group.

Pete began working life in a charity before moving to start-ups in the dot-com boom and subsequently moving into consulting – initially strategy consulting, and for the last 18 years leadership and organisational development. His clients include Barclays, Boston Consulting Group, BP, KPMG, the NHS, and the UK Civil Service, where he is a coach for senior civil servants.

Pete is the only executive coach in Europe to have completed an intensive four-month training internship with Dr Richard Strozzi-Heckler at the Strozzi Institute for Embodied Leadership. He has been certified as a Master Somatic Leadership Coach and has completed a Certificate in Humanistic Counselling with the Gestalt Centre in London. He has also completed an MSc in Change Agent Skills & Strategies at the University of Surrey, where his dissertation focused on conflict in teams. In addition, Pete is licensed to deliver Barry Oshry’s Organisation Workshop and is certified to use the FIRO-B, Change Style Indicator, the Global Leadership Profile and SDI psychometric instruments.

Pete practises martial arts, reads across a wide range of topics and enjoys travelling on adventures to various parts of the world. He has published articles in various publications, including The Times, HR Magazine, People Management, The Retailer, and Charities Management. He has written a book entitled Embodied Leadership, published in June 2013 by Kogan Page.
