Organisation Design and Organisation Development are typically seen as two different but related fields of HR practice. Design emphasises the formal, tangible organisation: structures and processes for example; meanwhile Development looks at the informal, intangible organisation, such as leadership, relationships and culture. Seasoned HR professionals are expected to be strong in both domains and, in practice, often find themselves doing both at once.
So what does integrating the two ODs really look like? What does it mean for the HR practitioner, the wider organisation and for good OD practice? In this engaging workshop Martin Saville, Helen Charles-Edwards and Clare Joghee, of ‘People Change’ consultancy Mayvin will share the joys and perils of an integrated OD approach and invite you to share your stories, knowledge and experience in small groups.
