Carolyn joined Mayvin in April 2024, following over 15 years in people and organisational development roles across private sector, Civil Service and NHS. She is an experienced senior leader, adept at working with all levels of organisational hierarchy, often within highly complex environments.
A common theme through Carolyn’s career has been the attention she has paid to the importance of team effectiveness, leadership at all levels and co-creating environments in which people can do their best work. Career highlights have included building OD capacity and capability to support translating values into behaviours, working with executive teams to develop and realise organisational culture ambitions, partnering with Boards to enhance their performance, and establishing evidence-based change programmes to improve employee experience, focussing on equality, diversity and inclusion, health and wellbeing, and colleague engagement.
Her development has included completing the OD Advancing your Practice programme in the Civil Service, a certificate in Dynamics @ Board level with Tavistock Institute, and Human Systems Dynamics. In 2022 she completed her MSc in People and OD at Roffey Park, focussing her dissertation on a cooperative action research inquiry into the conditions that enable senior white women to show up as anti-racist, which she subsequently published as a journal article. More recently she has become an Accredited Insights Discovery Practitioner, to support her clients to improve self-awareness and team performance.
Carolyn lives in North London, with her husband Ben, their daughter Kira and the family cockapoo Roxy. She enjoys running, reading and seeing live music.
