Ash joined Mayvin in April 2024 following 15 years in people and culture roles. Most recently the head of talent and leadership development in the third sector with the British Heart Foundation, Ash brings with him a range of perspectives and experiences across leadership development, talent, systems thinking, diversity, and culture change from diverse industries in professional services at KPMG, charities and local government. The golden thread in his work is the drive to amplify the essential humanity in any situation and use it to make good progress possible. A business psychologist by background, he is a qualified coach through the European Mentoring & Coaching Council and a chartered manager through the Chartered Management Institute.
Following a first degree in Psychology from Sussex and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from Manchester Business School, he started his career working with clients on diversity and authentic leadership development programmes at Stonewall. A decade later, his passion for organisational development led to an MA in Leadership from Henley Business School. This coincided with the height of the COVID pandemic and grew a deepening awareness around systems thinking and complexity; and introduced him first-hand to the power of practice-based learning and critical inquiry as tools for creating and leading lasting organisational change.
Ash is English and Jamaican and shares his life with his half-Swedish husband in South London. He is a member of Humanists UK and dreams of one day training as a celebrant alongside his consultant practice. He enjoys art, theatre, food culture, is moderately fanatical about tennis, and is fascinated by pop culture.
