Suria values the importance of strong communication skills, and prides herself on her own as she feels they are key in forging strong, successful relationships. Suria is both creative and organised in equal measure and assists Claire in running the marketing side of Mayvin.
At 21, Suria made the bold move to relocate from Australia’s Gold Coast to Brighton, after visiting family there and falling in love with the eclectic city. Her career began working for a premium global chocolate brand where she had her first taste of relationship management and developed an interest in human connections.
Suria then went on to work for a Brighton based film financing company in a marketing and events role where she could finally apply the knowledge she’d gained from her studies in marketing and events management. She further developed these skills as events manager for a leading financial advisory firm, where her key focus was curating and implementing a vast events programme.
For her next challenge, Suria decided she still wanted to hold a marketing and events role but for an organisation that gave back to the community in some way. So, when the Mayvin opportunity arose, she knew it was the perfect fit and is excited to apply her years of knowledge and experience to Mayvin.
Outside of work Suria loves dog walks with her pampered pooch, sampling the many restaurants Brighton & Hove has to offer and spending time with her family who are spread across the UK.
