Sharon is an independent Occupational Psychologist and an Associate of Mayvin, with a depth of experience in developing leaders and assessing leadership skills and capabilities. She works with senior and middle management and also with young talent and aspiring leaders.
With some 20 years experience in leadership development, Sharon has assessed and developed people from a wide range of occupational backgrounds, in both the public and private sectors. She uses psychometric profiling to raise awareness of developmental needs or gaps in performance and to help individuals understand more clearly their dominant personality traits and how these might feed into preferred leadership styles. She is an experienced facilitator of Action Learning Sets as part of leadership development programmes.
Internationally, she has helped set up a leadership and OD consultancy in South East Asia and delivered leadership programmes for the Singapore Civil Service. This has given her a depth of understanding about cultural differences, diversity and working with leaders with very different cultural assumptions and values.
Sharon is a past tutor of the various post-graduate qualification programmes offered by Roffey Park Institute and past Programme Director for Personal Effectiveness. She was an associate of the NHS Leadership Academy and set adviser for the Nye Bevan Programme, a qualification programme for aspiring Board Directors and also a contributor through the Hogan Development Survey (HDS) assessments for the Aspiring CEOs Programme for the NHS.
