Val strongly believes in using inclusive approaches to support organisational change. Much of her work has been on whole organisation, systemic work aimed at increasing business effectiveness.
Val is a specialist in organisational change and leadership development, with over 25 years experience in the public sector.
For the past 11 years, Val has been an internal organisational and leadership development consultant in the Civil Service, latterly working with senior leaders across government departments to support all aspects of strategic change with a strong participative, humanistic focus.
Val has led and supported successful culture and design change work using various participative methodologies.

Cultural change, using an inclusive organisation development approach based on an understanding of organisations as complex systems and of the positive dynamics of difference
Large and small group event design and facilitation, using participative approaches to support organisational change, e.g. appreciative inquiry and open space
Senior team coaching and development, using strong inquiry-based diagnostic skills and an approach to working with groups which values difference
Leadership development, through individual coaching, thought partnering and creative methods of leadership and manager development
Relationship management with people at all levels, developing effective, productive relationships quickly and creating trust, so building strong networks and alliances.
Val has an MSc in Organisational Change from Ashridge Business School and an MA from the University of Sussex. She is an accredited executive coach and psychometric practitioner.
