Teresa brings a unique blend of 25 years’ experience in management, psychology, systems thinking and organizational dynamics, effectively integrating the business needs of a corporation with the needs of work groups and individual employees.
She is the founder of Edmondson Consulting Group, a consulting firm specialising in coaching individuals and teams towards peak performance, and guiding organizations thru major change and transformation initiatives. She has worked with hundreds of teams and individuals, many within Fortune 100 companies both nationally and internationally, helping organizations work more effectively and with greater emotional intelligence, especially during times of change.
Teresa has worked with diverse employee groups across the globe, including North and South America, Europe, Africa, India and China. She has worked with over 100 profit and non-profit firms in the oil and gas, electronics, healthcare, real-estate, law and software development industries, including HP, ExxonMobil, BP, Bayer Corporation, Shell Oil, Columbia Medical School, NASA, Raytheon Systems Company, and the District of Columbia Bar Association. She also currently serves as an External Faculty Member for BP’s Worldwide Executive Leadership Development program, providing instruction in the areas of Ethics and Responsible Leadership, and as Faculty for the Center for the Study of Natural Systems and the Family.
Teresa earned a Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston,Texas in 1992 and was certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 1993. Notable is her ongoing study in the field of Emotional Intelligence, including work with the theories and assessments developed by Daniel Goleman & Reueven BarOn. She formally studied Systems Thinking for 3 years at the Bowen Center in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. and is certified as a PROSCI Change Management Consultant. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in English from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. Teresa continues to study, lecture and perform research in the areas of Leadership Development, Systems Thinking, and Managing Change.
Teresa currently lives in Houston, TX with John, her husband of 28 years. She has two stepchildren, three grandchildren, and a spoiled Bichon named Bodie. She contributes her time and resources to a variety of community organizations and causes in her hometown, including support for the Girl Scouts, MD Anderson Cancer Center, the American Heart Association, and most recently serving on the West University Parks & Recreation Board.
She enjoys traveling to new places, water-skiing, doing Yoga, and learning new things. She is currently learning to play the drums.
